TRYING TO AVOID THE WINTER BLUES?

So are we, so we compiled a list of our favourite ways to stay warm in winter!

1. Go for a bushwalk

Research bush walks and coastal walks around your area. Pack a backpack with a picnic rug and flask of hot chocolate or chai and find a cosy spot in nature to soak up some sun rays.

2. Take a yoga class

Keep your body active in the cooler weather by taking a yoga class. Bikram yoga is a type of hot yoga typically practiced in a room heated above 40ºC and 40% humidity. Or better yet, grab your mat and head out in the sunshine and stretch those cold muscles out!

3. Cook your favourite feel good meal

Nothing´s more comforting than cooking a warm and hearty meal in winter time. Grab a big soup pot and your favourite spices and vegetables and start cooking! Nothing says healthy winter food more than beets, carrots, pumpkins and sweet potatoes.

4. Go whale watching!

If you´re on the east cost of Australia, now is the best time for whale watching! Grab a blanket and binoculars and find a comfy spot in the sun and sheltered from the cold ocean wind and get spotting! If your really keen make a booking and go out on your local whale watching boat.

5. Snuggle up with your favourite book

And of course nothing beats rugging up in front of a wood fire at home with your favourite book and a cuppa tea!
