Your Guide to a Weekend on the magical Coffs Coast

by Emily Tait September 13, 2016

We´re always hanging out for the weekend here at May and Hugo, who doesn't love the relaxed vibes the word Friday brings along with it. While we reside on the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW, we thought we’d gather up some of our favourite weekend to-do’s and share them with you all. If you ask us, a well spent weekend is one that includes beach walks, bush walks, brilliant breakfast and a bar! ;)

Hidden away in secret little valleys, about a half hours drive from Coffs, is the Bellingen Promised Lands. With the most beautiful, pristine rivers and picturesque views, it´s got to be one of our favourite places to cool off on a hot summer´s weekend.

We are blessed to be situated along a 75km stretch of protected coast that is The Solitary Islands Marine Park. Warm waters and a rich variety of sea life make Coffs Coast an underwater paradise for snorkellers.

At the Harbourside Markets at the historical Coffs Harbour Jetty, there is a huge range of unique art and craft, fresh local produce, tasty gourmet food and plants galore. The philosophy is locally made, locally grown so you are guaranteed a unique experience. There´s live music, performers, entertainment and activities, this is definitely a Sunday morning favourite.

For a sunny breakfast that never disappoints, we love to head North to Woolgooga to a happy little cafe called Ground Earth. The place has a beautiful energy, the menu is divine and the food is delicious. They´ve lot lots of yummy organic whole foods for you to stock up on, and the staff are always so lovely! Definitely worth the drive!

And of course our weekend would´t be complete without an afternoon stroll on Sawtell headland!
